NASA New York Space Grant Faculty Grants recognize and support full-time faculty members at our affiliate institutions addressing research related to NASA’s strategic goals.
NYSG Opportunity Grants
NYSG opportunity grants are state-wide competitive awards to support New York primary, secondary, and post-secondary educators and higher education students working on NASA-related projects in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each applicant can request up to $2,000 in funding, available on a recurring basis during the fiscal year.
U.S. Department of Education Grant: National Professional Development Program
The National Professional Development (NPD) program funds partnerships between higher education institutions and school agencies to strengthen how educators serve English learners. Grants support both pre‑service and in‑service training that improves EL instruction, helps teachers and staff meet certification or licensure requirements, and builds the skills of all personnel working with ELs—including paraprofessionals and uncertified staff. Overall, the program aims to raise the quality and effectiveness of educators and school leaders in meeting the needs of English learners.
